Yesterday´s Big Gainers (VRX, LNCR, LYG, VVUS)

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (NYSE:VRX) soared 7.63% to $50.48 on 3.89 million shares. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International is a multinational specialty pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures and markets a range of pharmaceutical products.
Lincare Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:LNCR) jumped 7.12% to $32.95 on a volume of 3.84 million shares. The company announced today that its Board of Directors has approved the initiation of a quarterly cash dividend payable at an annual rate of $0.80 per share of common stock outstanding. The first quarterly dividend of $0.20 per share will be paid on July 29, 2010 to stockholders of record as of July 15, 2010. The ex-dividend date for the quarterly dividend is July 13, 2010.
Lloyds Banking Group PLC (ADR) (NYSE:LYG) is also up 5.39% to $3.52. Lloyds Banking Group plc is a financial services group providing a range of banking and financial services, primarily in the United Kingdom, to personal and corporate customers. VIVUS, Inc. (NASDAQ:VVUS) is up 4.54% to $10.08. VIVUS, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of therapeutic products for underserved markets. Its investigational product pipeline includes two late-stage clinical product candidates.
