Most Active US Stocks (BP, Sprint, Ford, General Electric)

BP plc (ADR) (NYSE:BP) lost 2.67% to $29.52 on 53.57 million shares. The company Tuesday it would donate revenue from the oil it recovers from the Macondo oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation said it plans to direct the money “to projects that bring the greatest benefit to the wildlife of the affected Gulf Coast States.
Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) dropped 2.89% to $4.37 on 36.81 million shares. Sprint Nextel Corporation is a holding company that offers a range of wireless and wireline communications products and services for individual consumers, businesses, government subscribers and resellers.
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is down 1.04% to $11.41 on 32.78 million shares. Ford Motor Company is a producer of cars and trucks. Ford and its subsidiaries also engage in other businesses, including financing vehicles. It operates under two segments: Automotive and Financial Services.
General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) decreases 0.93% to $15.95 on 27.25 million shares. General Electric Company is a diversified technology, media and financial services company. The Company’s products and services include aircraft engines, power generation, water processing, security technology, medical imaging, business and consumer financing, media content and industrial products.
