QPRJ in Negotiations to Establish Waste Tire Conversion Plant in USA |
LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - 12/18/09) - QUADRA PROJECTS INC. (OTC.BB:QPRJ - News ) ("Quadra" or the "Company"), its stock quoted on the OTCBB under the trading symbol "QPRJ," announced today that it is in ongoing negotiations to enter into a Joint Venture with Renewable Energy Capital LLC, a prominent company invol ved in solar energy installations and an undisclosed Supplier of tires, to establish a Waste Tire Conversion Plant capable of processing waste tires into marketable by-products.
Management states that this transaction will supercharge Quadra's world-wide efforts to be a leader in "Green Tech." Over the past several months, the Supplier of waste tires for the Plant has had the opportunity to combine with competitor companies but passed on all of them. When compared to the significantly lower capital cost, its production of higher quality by products, the higher rate of return and the proven commercial viability of the technology, the Supplier concurred there was no comparison.
Management of Quadra has taken a conservative approach forecasting revenues of the Plant. Nonetheless, with the cost and revenue synergies, Management of Quadra projects as attainable for the Joint Venture in the first twelve months after completion of the plant, revenues exceeding $30 million. The Joint Venture also contemplates expanding operations quickly after completion of the first Plant to take advantage of the unique opportunity that exists for the creation of "GreenTech" by-products.
The QES2000System is patented and Management of the Company is of the opinion that it is the most advanced prolysis and gasification system in the world, specifically designed to convert all organic waste such as palm husks (including used tires, plastic waste and municipal waste etc,) to valuable by-products such as N220 carbon black, biochar fertilizer, etc. and/or fuel oil or fuel gas for the production of electrical power, without any measurable environmental pollution or ash to be land filled. The QES2000 System is designed to meet the Global challenges of the 21st Century wherein natural resources are being exhausted, the petroleum industry is unstable and uncertain in terms of cost and supply and the world is seeing a degradation of the Global environment.
Because of the affordability of the QES2000 System, and the creation of significant revenue streams from the by-products, the return on investment is much greater than other competitive systems.

Company Overview |
Quadra Projects, Inc. (OTCBB: QPRJ) Quadra aims to become the leading green company in the largely untapped market of converting material generally recognized as having little or no value and which are or have been in the past, treated as waste and improperly discharged, discarded or dumped in landfills. By offering our efficient, non-polluting, high quality and comparatively low cost pyrolytic and gasification system, to treat the waste as feedstock, their system will convert the waste materials into marketable by-products or valuable energy sources - a relatively low cost solution for remediation of environmental problems worldwide. Quadra Objective:
The major worldwide environmental issues are global warming and shortages of available clean affordable fuel. The main cause of global warming, as determined by a consensus of the world leading scientists, is CO 2 emissions. Currently most countries are expressing concern about this global problem. The first problematic issue is how to reduce the CO 2 emissions. Most CO 2 emissions are from automotive and transportation vehicles including ships, trains and airplanes. A second major source of CO 2 emissions is from Incinerators and coal-fired power generators. Hence the production of affordable clean renewable energy has become a primary concern for countries and currently is one of the most important areas for new and innovative technologies. The second major concern is identifying new sources of clean and affordable energy. Pyrolysis technologies are currently attracting a great deal of attention world wide as these technologies are not only sources of renewable energy but also significantly reduce CO 2 emissions. QES Technologies: The QES2000 is their standard unit. Their mobile system/unit is model QES2000M. Traditional pyrolysis technology uses the application of indirect heat to a thermal reaction chamber. Because the thermal conductive surface is small, it takes a significant amount of time and energy to decompose the organic compounds resulting in low efficiency. The other disadvantage is the problem of heat being applied from the surface to the interior of the feedstock material. When the heat contacts the surface of the material, it forms a crust which hinders penetration of heat to the interior of the material. This crust will result in an incomplete de-composition of the organic compounds. The carbon residue will also contain remnants of the organic compounds and creates secondary waste.
QES has developed a two stage pyrolysis technology. The first stage acts as a pyrolysis mode. It converts most of the organic composition to fuel at the critical cracking stage. Prime function during this stage is to obtain the greatest amount of fuel oil. The temperature in the first stage, is under 450ºC and is adjustable. The second stage acts as a gasification, deep pyrolysis, carbon activated, and fuel gas synthesis system. The purpose of the second stage is to completely de-compose the organic compounds. The processing temperature in the second stage is adjustable between 550ºC ~ 850ºC. With two stage technology, the QES system has the ability to deal with different kinds of organic waste. The QES system is not only an energy converting system but also the best waste management system available. It can be utilized by industries to produce carbon black and fuel. It also can be utilized for waste treatment to reduce CO 2 emissions and maximize profits and is the best solution to replace incinerators. The traditional pyrolysis system cannot completely de-compose carbon residue (char) leaving flammable organic compounds. As a result these by-products cannot be sold on the market. This is the major problem in a tire pyrolysis plant. The QES steam system utilizes thermal indirect heat technology with steam- penetration characteristics, carbon residue will not only completely de-compose but also creates more absorption surface. It also can generate more fuel gas than any other pyrolysis system by the steam reacting with the carbon. The quality of carbon residue is adjustable using the QES system to produce a variety of carbon by-products ranging from carbon black to activated carbon. The following is a comparison:

There are two models based on the QES technology.

This unit requires the installation of
Additional equipment maybe required depending on location configuration and customer needs. QES will provide the technical guidance and support throughout installation.
The QES2000M is a mobile system. It is suitable for the small scale waste operations located at different sites. The mobile system can treat waste and move from one location to another location. The mobile system is fully integrated. It includes a loading unit, breaker unit, and unloading unit. The carbon residue may be stored in a standard 220 liter tank
