Forecast Report Update: ACN Early Short Trade Netted 1.4%

In Thursday evening's Forecast Report on Accenture (ACN), a potential short trade target at 40.80 to 40.70 emerged for a shot at a quick downside move. ACN opened above that target, at 41.10. A sell there, measured to the pre-market low of 40.53, netted 1.4%. The stock proved more volatile during regular trading, spiking in choppy action before pushing to a day high of 41.86 and then pulling back to the 41.20 area. A sell at the day high, as measured to 41.20, netted 1.6%.

Forecast Report Update: PALM Misses Short Targets But Sale at Pre-Market High is 14% in the Black

In last evening's Forecast Report, Palm (PALM) offered up a potential short trade entry at 11.50 to 11.40, an area that set up as a mid-session and early second-half ceiling in extended-hours trading. Secondarily, the 11.20 to 11 area was a potential sell target. PALM failed to push through in morning trading to our target. Sellers that did move at the 10.96 pre-market high are 14% in the black, as measured to the day-session low of 9.60.

Forecast Report Update: ORCL Long Trade 4.7% in the Black

In last evening's Forecast Report, Oracle (ORCL) signaled a potential entry point for buyers early Friday in a range of 23.57 to 23.70. We also advised that if the stock should start the day with more pronounced support closer to 23.80 or above, longs may want to tweak the entry closer to 23.80 to 24. Oracle dipped to hit early lows between 23.62 to 23.82, within our targets. A buy there, as measured to the regular-session high of 24.74, is 4.7% in the black.

Forecast Report: RIMM Long Trade Nets Between 1.7%-2.7%

In last evening's Forecast Report, Research In Motion (RIMM) offered a potential long entry point early Friday near 70.55 to 71, an area that held as a floor support through much of evening trade. More risk tolerant longs were advised to nibble closer to the 71.00 to 71.20 area. The stock opened near 71 and pushed down to 69.82 early in the pre-market session. A buy out our 70.55 target, measured up to the 71.72 pre-market high, netted 1.7%. A buy at the 69.82 low, measured up to the 71.72 pre-market high, netted 2.7%. During regular trading, the stock opened at the session high of 71.60 and has mostly drifted below that mark.
