It's been a week or so since you've heard from us and for Good reason. We make it a point to NEVER waste your Time and unless we have something of importance and or meaningful to share, that commitment stands. That being said, we believe that we have a potential power move in the Alternative Energy space that we may just find running into greener pastures with, Wind Works Power Corp. (WWPW).
It's no secret that the world, as well as North America in particular, continues to have a tremendous dependence on Oil. With Oil prices seemingly on the path to $100 per barrel once again, interest in renewable energy sources remain at the forefront. So much so that, in the past year alone, investors poured a record $71 billion into the alternative energy space. And billions more funnel in every day. During the next five years, the governments in the United States, China and Europe are expected to invest a minimum of $150 billion into alternative energy, according to CLSA Research.
However, a Tremendous market opportunity exists for the wind power segment of the alternative energy space.
Wind power is a sizeable market and is now the world's fastest growing source of power generation and North America is one of the fastest growing and most prolific wind power markets.
Why are we and global investors so excited about the future of wind power?
Again, wind power is now the world's fastest growing source of power generation and North America is one of the fastest growing and most prolific wind power markets. Uncertainty over fossil fuel supplies and prices and the desire for carbon-free sources of power generation have combined to drive this robust growth.
In 2008, about 42% of all the wind generating capacity added in the world was installed in the U.S. Along with the significant contribution to the electricity supply, 35,000 jobs were created in operations, construction and manufacturing.
The renewable energy measures in President Obama’s stimulus bill will help sustain that momentum and will encourage additional clean energy investment and job creation. Further renewable energy direction is expected to be established by the Obama Administration in a new Energy Policy.
Currently, Wind Works Power’s (WWPW) portfolio consists of 30 megawatts and over the next few years the company is targeting to increase its project portfolio size to 400 megawatts. This is huge for a start up company and moreover has targeted the most beneficial location for its project.
LOCATION; LOCATION; LOCATION!!! Sound familiar?
WWPW has been focusing on synergistic acquisitions and just recently signed an agreement to acquire a 70% interest in the Skyway 126 Wind Energy Inc. project in Ontario Canada. The project is located in Grey-Highlands Township, Ontario on the north east side of the Garafraxa Plateau, the highest land mass in Ontario. Wind resources at this location are the best inland results tested by the company on the Plateau out of 5 affiliated sites in the region. Annual mean wind speeds are measured at over 7.0 meters per second at an 80 meter hub Weight.
Additionally, Wind Works Power Corp (WWPW) has signed two agreements with Zero Emission People LLC. The first is a Joint Venture Agreement relating to two wind energy projects totaling 20 megawatts located in Ontario, Canada. The second is an Option Agreement whereby WWPW has the right to acquire up to a 100% interest in an additional 400 megawatts of wind energy projects over the next 12 months.
Presently, the majority of the wind power currently generated in Canada, and around the world, is generated by wind turbines arranged in large-scale ‘wind farms’ covering many acres of land with strong wind resources. These large scale projects can generate hundreds of megawatts (MW) of renewable power without generating greenhouse gasses, airborne or waterborne pollutants or radioactive waste.
We're running with 'The Wind' with Wind Works Power Corp. (WWPW) and we believe that the breeze at our backs is fierce!!
We'll be back to you with more on WWPW but, in the meantime, start your Homework here:
