AMEL could help power the World
Lithium plays an important role in our shift from traditional fossil fuels to cleaner energy.
Check out this YouTube video talking about the future of lithium: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCetmbHgl9I&feature=player_embedded
AMEL has already acquired hundreds of thousands of acres already for their lithium portfolio.
AMEL has amassed a Lithium portfolio consisting of 724,000 acres!
AMEL's strong advantage is their strategic positioning in the U.S. lithium heartland. Nevada is home to America's only Lithium producing mine!
AMEL CEO Matthew Worrall stated, "We have amassed a world class team here at AmeriLithium. Our Management Team consists of all the key components necessary to drive the company forward both quickly and dynamically with big company experience covering all the relevant sectors. We feel that with our new HQ location In Nevada, we are well positioned to develop the company into a leading player in the North American Lithium industry."
It has been said that electric cars will account for one third of total lithium capacity.
This is no surprise as even President Obama has made it a goal to put one million plug-in hybrids on U.S. roads by 2015.
The future may soon have streets filled with electric cars, buses, and mail trucks!
Companies involved with lithium exploration could become huge in the future as it has been estimated that within 20 to 40 years the majority of produced cars will be hybrids!
Next to their promising projects in Nevada, AMEL also has a large project in Alberta, Canada, and a project in Western Australia.
AMEL has recently executed a definitive agreement thereby acquiring a 100% NRI (Net Revenue Interest) in the assets of the Wagin Salt Lakes Property in Wagin, Western Australia.
AMEL's Australian plays sit upon a vast area of lithium rich land located in the state of Western Australia.
Spread over 43,000+ Acres, The Wagin Salt Lakes property is made up of 3 projects being, Bare Rock Project, Nomans Lake Project and the Hoffmans Hill Project.
The three projects lie within the South West Mineral Field, an area identified as being rich in brine deposits and a key site for global lithium extraction.
AMEL CEO Matthew Worrall commented on the Company's latest acquisition by stating, "The Australian property adds a whole new dimension to AmeriLithium's corporate strategy. Thanks to our interest in this mineral-rich region of Australia and its geographical location, AmeriLithium stands to be a major player in one of the world's most significant new discoveries on the lithium extraction landscape, and gives us the opportunity to capitalize on the major demand for Lithium from the massive developing Asian markets.
"It is with this kind of diversity that AmeriLithium will become a major force in the extraction and supply of Lithium, enabling our company to supply the rapidly growing market for this valuable resource," Worrall further commented.
Take a look at some of the many facts there are about lithium:
* According to the USGS, overall demand for lithium is growing at a rate of 4-5% per year!
* Over 60% of mobile phones and 90% of laptop computers feature Lithium Ion batteries!
* The worldwide market for rechargeable lithium batteries is estimated to be worth over $6 billion by 2012!
Here's a breakdown of how lithium is used in a vast amount of industries:
Medical Industry - as an anti-depressant
Electronics - for laptop batteries, cellphone batteries, digital camera batteries
Industrial - glass, ceramic, and porcelain enamel manufacture
Aviation - in alloys
Sony states in an article entitled, "Sony to Nearly Double Lithium Production by 2010", states they will invest approximately $370MM toward strengthening it's lithium ion battery production operations.
