S&P 500 Weekly RoundUp: Higher Top Performers: BIIB, FFIV, SLM

 
New York, April 23rd (TradersHuddle.com) - The S&P 500 index closed the trading week higher at 1337.38, which represents 1.34% versus its previous week. The broad market index had a mixed week with slightly more than 50% of the S&P 500 components closing the week higher.
Biogen Idec (NASDAQ:BIIB) was the S&P 500's top performer during the week with the stock closing at $99.7 representing 20.18% versus the previous weekly session. Shares of Biogen Idec, the Cambridge, Massachusetts based biotechnology company focusing on neurology, oncology, and immunology have defined support at $68.31 and resistance at $83.10.
F5 Networks (NASDAQ:FFIV) also among the top performers for the week closing at $106.87 representing 12.86% from its previous week. F5 Networks, the application delivery networking Company has calculated support and resistance levels at $92.20 and $97.73 respectively. The other top performer this week was SLM (NYSE:SLM), which is traded at $16.31 representing 10.35% .
The S&P 500's worst performers for the week include Iron Mountain (NYSE:IRM) that closed at $31.79 or -7.94% from its previous weekly close. Shares of Iron Mountain, the records management services provider have defined support at $24.98 and resistance at $35.50. Also among the worst performers this week is Gilead (NASDAQ:GILD), which is traded at $39.06 representing -6.33% .
The S&P 500 underperformed the Dow Jones but was pretty much equal with the NASDAQ composite. The Dow Jones Industrial Index ended the trading week at 12506, which represents 1.33% from previous week, the NASDAQ on the other hand closed the week at 2820.16 representing 2.01% from its previous weekly close.
