Today`s Top Volume Movers (DAL, VVUS, ATAC, KWK)

Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) fell 4.10% to $11.24 on an unusual volume of 19.66 million shares after earned $467 million, or 55 cents a share, in the period, compared with a loss of $257 million, or 31 cents a share, in the year-earlier quarter. Excluding special items, on an operating basis, the carrier said it would have earned 65 cents a share. Revenue rose 17% to $8.17 billion from $7 billion, as passenger revenue increased 19% on 1% lower capacity. Cargo revenue rose 22%. The average estimate of analysts polled by FactSet Research had been for the company to earn 63 cents a share on revenue of $8.25 billion.
VIVUS, Inc. (NASDAQ:VVUS) decreased 11.28% to $4.80 on an unusual volume of 14.36 million shares. VIVUS, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of therapeutic products for underserved markets. Its investigational product pipeline includes two late-stage clinical product candidates. One of these investigational products, Qnexa, has completed Phase III clinical trials for obesity, and Phase II clinical trials for diabetes and obstructive sleep apnea.
ATC Technology Corp. (NASDAQ:ATAC) soared 39.07% to $24.04 on an unusual volume of 8.22 million shares after CJS Securities downgrades ATC Technology from Market Outperform to Market Perform. PT lowered from $30 to $25.  Holzer Holzer & Fistel, LLC is investigating whether the directors of ATC Technology Corporation complied with their fiduciary duties in approving the proposed buyout of the Company by GENCO Distribution Systems, Inc. According to the terms of the agreement, ATC shareholders will receive $25.00 per share if the deal closes.
Quicksilver Resources Inc (NYSE:KWK) surged 14.30% to $12.55 on an unusual volume of 6.43 million shares on reports that India-based Reliance Industries it in talks with the company that could lead to an acquisition of the U.S.-based shale gas company. The reports from India said three options are being discussed between the two companies: a buyout, buying a stake, or forming a partnership.
