Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) was also among the top performers, closed the trading session at $24.7 representing 2.07% from its previous close. Morgan Stanley, the operator of a global securities business has calculated support and resistance levels at $22.4 and $26.15 respectively. The other top performer was Ameriprise (NYSE:AMP), which closed the trading session at $39 representing 2.04% from the previous session.
The sector's worst performers include Nomura (NYSE:NMR) that closed the trading session at $5.56 or -0.71% from the previous close. Shares of Nomura, the global finanicial services company based in Tokyo, Japan have defined support at $5.36 and resistance at $5.64. Also among the worst performers was TD Ameritrade (NASDAQ:AMTD), which closed the trading session at $15.28 representing 0.2% from the previous session.
