Today’s Top Earnings (JBLU, AEIS, JNS)

stock photo : 3d human keep money with bags in front of themJetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ:JBLU) shares rose 7.15% to $6.30 after it reported a 50% jump in profit in the second quarter to $30 million, or 10 cents a share. Analysts had expected 8 cents a share from the carrier.
Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:AEIS) jumped 20% to $16.60 after AEIS today announced both its Q2 2010, financials and guidance for Q3 2010 above market expectations.
Janus Capital Group Inc. (NYSE:JNS) rose 11% to $10.53 after the firm reported that its second-quarter profit nearly doubled from the year-ago period. Janus said profit rose to $30.2 million, or 17 cents a share, from $15.8 million or 10 cents a share, in the year ago period. While the firm saw net outflows in the latest quarter, it said it saw net inflows into its fixed income offerings. Despite Wednesday’s move, shares of Janus, one of the hardest-hit fund companies during the financial crisis, are down more than 20% this year and about 15% in the past 12 months.
