BUY !!! (AECOM wins $10.7M contract for Qatar project)

LOS ANGELES -- Engineering firm AECOM Technology Corp. said Monday it has been awarded a $10.7 million contract from the Qatar Public Works Authority.
Under the deal, the company will provide supervisory and surveying services for the second phase of an expressway project in Qatar's capital city of Doha.
The project will expand a current 4.2-mile stretch of road to four lanes each direction and upgrade surrounding infrastructure.
Work on the project is expected to begin by July 2010 and be completed within 2 1/2 years.
Qatar, which borders Saudi Arabia, has massive natural gas reserves and is building up its export abilities.
The country recently signed an agreement with Royal Dutch Shell and China National Petroleum Corp. to jointly explore for and produce natural gas onshore and offshore.
